Frequently asked questions from Used Bike Buyer...
How does it work? What do I have to do?
All you need to do is contact us via the link e-mail address on the contacts page or if you prefer, telephone us with the details of your bike i.e. make, model, engine size, colour, mileage, MOT and Tax, servicing details if any and an honest description of the motorbike's current condition. We do the rest, and will contact you with any further details we require to produce you an offer.
When do I get paid?
Full payment is made in cash on collection of the motorbike from your address.
How will I be paid?
Payment can either be in cash on collection or via bank transfer. Bank transfer will not take place until one of our representatives have seen and inspected the motorcycle.
Who will get my details ? And call at my house?
At Used Bike Buyer we understand our customer's security concerns and for that reason we never divulge any enquiry details to any other organisation or have any trading partners. Neither do we use courier services for collection, one of our own staff will call at your address to arrange collection. The member of staff will introduce themselves with ID as being from Used Bike Buyer and can also provide a security password to ensure complete peace of mind.
My bike has not been used for sometime, would you still buy it?
We will buy all motorcycles. It doesn't matter to us if the MOT has expired, battery is flat, or it hasn't been ridden for a while. Our aim is to provide a hassle free service and so we will deal with all of these issues for you.
How long does the whole process take?
From receiving your motorbike valuation request we aim to have an offer produced within 24 hours. Most motorbikes can then be collected and paid for within 5 working days depending upon commitments given to other customers and your location.
I am still paying a finance agreement on my bike, can I still sell it to you?
Yes, we deal with all major finance companies and can, having agreed a valuation of your motorbike settle the outstanding finance and return you the remainding balance. All we require is an up to date settlement figure from the finance company.
I haven't got a copy of the V5 for my bike, can you still buy it?
No, in order for us to purchase your motorbike it must have a full V5 (all parts) document. If you haven't got it or have lost it you must apply to the DVLA for a new one and contact us for a valuation of your motorbike once it arrives.
